Visit by a delegation of the Supreme Court of Denmark to the Federal Constitutional Court

A delegation of the Supreme Court of Denmark, headed by its President Thomas Rørdam, visited the Federal Constitutional Court from 17 to 19 April 2018. The visitors were received by President Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Andreas Voßkuhle, Vice-President Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Kirchhof and other Justices of the Federal Constitutional Court. The topics addressed in the expert discussions included the relationship between the ECHR and domestic law, the impact of the ECJ’s case-law on national apex courts as well as the review of constitutionality exercised by domestic courts. In addition, the visit provided an opportunity to exchange information on the recent case-law of both courts.
