“Schlossbezirk” seat
How to reach us travelling on public transport:
At Karlsruhe main station, take tram S1 or S11, exit at Herrenstraße. The Court is approx. 10 minutes’ walk from there. For further information, please consult the municipal transport services Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund.
How to reach us by car:
Please note that there are no parking spaces for visitors available at the Federal Constitutional Court’s “Schlossbezirk” seat. Please use car park at Schlossplatz or other public car parks nearby.
From the north (A 5):
Leave the A 5 at exit no. 44 (Karlsruhe-Durlach) and continue along Durlacher Allee into town. Immediately after the second railway underpass, turn left onto Ostring (B 10). Continue along the B 10; at Mendelssohnplatz, turn right onto Fritz-Erler-Straße. At the intersection Fritz-Erler-Straße / Kaiserstraße / Waldhornstraße, go straight ahead onto Waldhornstraße, which leads to Schlossplatz.
From the west (B 10):
Leave the Südtangente bypass at exit no. 6 and continue along the B 10 into town. At the intersection with Brauerstraße / Reinhold-Frank-Straße (L 605), turn left onto Reinhold-Frank-Straße and follow the signs “Nordstadt” / “Schloss” / “Landesmuseum”. At the intersection with Moltkestraße, turn right onto Moltkestraße. At the intersection with Willy-Brandt-Allee / Hans-Thoma-Straße, turn right onto Hans-Thoma-Straße. Continue along Hans-Thoma-Straße; at Waldstraße, turn left onto Waldstraße. After a few metres, Waldstraße leads onto Schlossplatz.
From the east and the south (A 8 / A 5):
At Karlsruhe junction, go onto the A 5 northbound and leave the A 5 at exit no. 45 (Karlsruhe Mitte). Follow the “Karlsruhe” signs and leave the Südtangente bypass at the first exit. Continue along the road (Wolfartsweierer Straße); at the roundabout, continue along the B 10 into town (follow the “Stadtmitte” signs). On Mendelssohnplatz, turn right onto Fritz-Erler-Straße. At the intersection Fritz-Erler-Straße / Kaiserstraße / Waldhornstraße, go straight ahead onto Waldhornstraße, which leads onto Schlossplatz.

How to reach us travelling on public transport:
At Karlsruhe main station, take tram no. 4, exit at Karl-Wilhelm-Platz. From there, take bus no. 30, exit at Rintheimer Querallee. In this part of Karlsruhe, extensive construction work is underway because new tram tunnels are being built; for up-to-date information on the traffic situation, please consult the public transport information (in German), which is regularly updated, under Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund.

Please note that there are only a limited number of parking spaces available along Rintheimer Querallee.
From the north (A 5):
Leave the A 5 at exit no. 44 (Karlsruhe-Durlach) and follow the “Wildparkstadion” signs (continue along Durlacher Allee into town). At Durlacher Tor, turn right onto Bertholdstraße. Continue along Bertholdstraße and Adenauerring; at the turnoff Theodor Heuss-Allee, turn right onto Theodor-Heuss-Allee. At the second turnoff on the right-hand side (Rintheimer Querallee), turn right onto Rintheimer Querallee. The entrance of the “Waldstadt” seat is situated on Rintheimer Querallee after approx. 180 metres on the right-hand side.
From the west (B 10):
Leave the Südtangente bypass at exit no. 6 and continue along the B 10 into town (B 10 – Kriegsstraße). At Ludwig-Erhard-Allee / turnoff Kapellenstraße, turn half left onto Kapellenstraße and continue along it. At Durlacher Tor, turn right onto Durlacher Allee, and after approx. 50 metres, turn left onto Bertholdstraße. Continue along Bertholdstraße and Adenauerring; turn right onto Theodor-Heuss-Allee. At the second turnoff on the right-hand side (Rintheimer Querallee), turn right onto Rintheimer Querallee. The entrance of the “Waldstadt” seat is situated on Rintheimer Querallee after approx. 180 metres on the right-hand side.
From the east and the south (A 8 / A 5):

On account of the extensive roadwork taking place in the city centre (on the internet, you can find up-to-date information (in German) under http://vmz.karlsruhe.de/entry-tba_Baustellen/new_index.jsp), the “Waldstadt” seat can also be reached from the east and from the south via the A 5 on an alternative route.
To take the alternative route, do not leave the A 5 at exit no. 45 (Karlsruhe Mitte) but continue on the A 5 and leave it at exit no. 44 (Karlsruhe-Durlach). Follow the “Wildparkstadion” signs (continue along Durlacher Allee into town). At Durlacher Tor, turn right onto Bertholdstraße. Continue along Bertholdstraße and Adenauerring; turn right onto Theodor-Heuss-Allee. At the second turnoff on the right-hand side (Rintheimer Querallee), turn right onto Rintheimer Querallee.
