To mark special events, the Federal Constitutional Court usually opens its doors and invites the public to visit the court building. However, due to the pandemic, an “open house” could not be held; instead, a glass exhibition cube was presented on the market square in Karlsruhe from 19 September to 3 October 2021.
In addition to an installation with the Justices’ robes, video statements provided by the Justices and staff members of the Federal Constitutional Court and other presentations provided insight into the Court’s work.
The official opening of the cube was conducted by Mayor Dr. Frank Mentrup, President Prof. Dr. Stephan Harbarth, LL.M (Yale) and Vice-President Prof. Dr. Doris König on Sunday, 19 September 2021 at 4:30 p.m. on the market square (next to the town hall).
