On 16 May 2026, the Federal Constitutional Court opened its doors at its seat in the Schlossbezirk in Karlsruhe to interested members of the public. Visitors were able to take a look inside the historic building designed by architect Paul Baumgarten and completed in 1969, with staff members of the Federal Constitutional Court on hand for discussion. Various programmes gave visitors the opportunity to learn more about the tasks and structure of the Federal Constitutional Court.
