This year’s national festivities to mark the Day of German Unity are taking place in Bremen from 2 to 4 October 2026 under the theme of ‘MANY STRENGTHS – ONE COUNTRY’. The Federal Constitutional Court will showcase its activities with an exhibition space in the Forum am Domshof in the city centre of Bremen as part of a citizen’s fair. In the exhibition space, citizens can gain insights into the operations of the Federal Constitutional Court and, in panel discussions held on 3 and 4 October 2026, exchange ideas with Justices of the Federal Constitutional Court. Moreover, short informational films about the Court’s work and some of its important decisions will be presented. Additionally, a glass exhibition cube will be set up right next to the Forum am Domshof, making it possible for citizens to take a close look at the robes of the Federal Constitutional Court Justices and to learn about the Court’s architecture and history.
The President of the Federal Constitutional Court, Prof. Dr. Stephan Harbarth, the Vice-President of the Federal Constitutional Court, Prof. Dr. Ann-Katrin Kaufhold, and other members of the Federal Constitutional Court will participate in the official ceremony on 3 October 2026.
The Federal Constitutional Court looks forward to celebrating the Day of German Unity with you in Bremen in the year of its 75th anniversary.
