Among the activities marking the Federal Constitutional Court’s 70th anniversary, a series of five discussions organised in cooperation with the Federal Agency for Civic Education (Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung – bpb) is starting today. Between now and September, five members of the Federal Constitutional Court plus other guests will discuss topics related to constitutional law. Kicking off the series, Federal Constitutional Court Justice Prof. Dr. Susanne Baer, LL.M. (Michigan) will be joined at 6 p.m. this evening by retired Federal Constitutional Court Justice Prof. Dr. Dr. Udo Di Fabio to discuss the question “How do you protect human dignity, Prof. Dr. Baer?”. The talk will be hosted by Gigi Deppe, Senior Legal Affairs Correspondent at ARD radio.
The event will be available via live stream on the bpb’s YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/user/bpbtv) and on its Facebook channel. The audience will be invited to contribute to the discussion by asking questions via Facebook.
